A facilitator is not a performer and not a therapist. They are a co-regulator in the room. The single most important variable is the state you walk in with — students borrow it.
Four stances: presence (arrive early, land in the room), non-attachment to outcome (a chaotic session is data, not failure), age-fit (see adapting by age), and teacher partnership (the teacher owns the class; you support).
Common failure modes: over-scripting; talking over the practice; letting one loud student pull the room. See working with schools for the contractual side.
