Inner Education
Foundation
Our Mission

We help as many children as possible understand themselves, giving them the tools to do it through mindfulness and Inner Education

Our mission is to help schools build a more complete educational system — one that includes both external and internal development.

What is Inner Education

Modern education gives children knowledge, skills and preparation for a profession. But children also need to understand how to live inside themselves: how to work with attention, emotions, stress, body, communication and inner balance.

We call this Inner Education.

We do not oppose traditional education. We believe the future of education is integral: external knowledge and internal development should work together.

External education prepares a child for the world. Inner education prepares a child to live consciously within that world.

Inner Education

The integrated development of consciousness, attention, emotions, body, and mind.

Whole-Person Development meditator
Higher
Awareness

Developing self-awareness and a clearer understanding of our values, needs and goals. Learning to reflect on our experiences, make intentional choices and act with greater awareness.

Focus
Sustained Attention

Developing focused attention and the ability to direct it intentionally. This supports self-regulation, conscious choices and staying present in the moment.

FEELINGS
Emotional Balance

Developing emotional awareness and the ability to understand, express and manage emotions in healthy ways. Building the skills to cope with stress and respond to challenges with greater balance.

Physical
Healthy body

Developing body awareness and healthy habits through movement, breathing, nutrition, sleep and recovery. Learning to recognize the body’s needs and support physical health and well-being.

MIND
Clear Thinking

Developing clarity, critical thinking and creativity. Learning to examine ideas, consider different perspectives, make informed decisions and approach problems with an open mind.

Integration

Developing all five areas together helps children connect what they learn with how they think, feel, act and relate to others.

Our Path Forward

From Inner Education to
Integral Education

Inner Education is where we begin. United with external learning, it becomes Integral Education — a complete system that prepares whole human beings to thrive in every dimension of life.

Vision

Integral Education

Inner + External Education in harmony

Integral Union

Bringing external and inner education together helps children develop the knowledge, skills and awareness they need to navigate life with clarity, balance and confidence.

Overview

Integral Education

External Education

Modern education gives children knowledge, academic skills and preparation for a future profession. It teaches them how to act in the outside world.

Goal

To give a child a profession and the skills to earn a living and be useful to society.

Inner Education

Inner Education is the missing part. It helps children understand themselves and develop the internal abilities needed for a balanced, conscious and good life.

Goal

To live in harmony with oneself and the world — wholly developed in consciousness, attention, emotions, body and mind.

Manifest

Goal Inner Education

Inner Balance, Consciousness, and a Good Life — the three pillars of what we are building.

Inner Balance

The ability to maintain inner stability, understand one's own reactions, regulate stress and build genuine resilience. A child who knows their inner world can respond to life rather than simply react.

Consciousness

Awareness of one's own thoughts, emotions and actions. The ability to observe oneself, understand motivations and make deliberate choices. Consciousness is the foundation of freedom and responsibility.

A Good Life

The integration of inner development into daily life so children grow into balanced, capable and fulfilled adults. Not just a career, but the ability to live well — with meaning, connection and inner freedom.

Our goal is not to replace modern education, but to complete it — by helping schools combine external knowledge with inner development.

What we believe

A few principles that guide everything we do

Every child has an inner world deserving attention and care.

Education should support the whole human being.

Attention is becoming one of the most valuable skills of the future.

Inner development should become accessible.

Schools should not be left alone with implementation challenges.

Collaboration creates greater impact than isolated effort.

Our Symbol

A symbol of balance and wholeness

Inner Educational Foundation — yin-yang within a graduation cap

Our logo unites two ancient ideas with one modern purpose. The graduation cap represents education — knowledge, learning and preparation for life in the outer world.

The yin-yang represents the inseparable balance of two complementary forces — the external and the internal. Neither is complete without the other.

A child needs both: the knowledge to act in the world, and the awareness to understand themselves within it. This is what we mean by Integral Education — education that develops the whole human being.

Developing inner abilities. Transforming education.

What We Do

Helping meaningful educational ideas become reality

We work across six interconnected areas to strengthen the inner dimensions of education.

School Support

Long-term partnerships with schools committed to integrating inner development into their daily life. We bring funding, expertise and continuity.

Program Implementation

Helping educational programs move from idea to reliable practice — with the planning, training and support implementation actually requires.

Teacher Development

Investing in the professional and personal development of educators, who are the true carriers of any meaningful approach.

Research

Funding and amplifying research on attention, emotional wellbeing, resilience and human flourishing in childhood and adolescence.

Innovation Support

Backing thoughtful entrepreneurs and educators developing new approaches grounded in evidence and care.

Community Building

Convening schools, researchers, foundations and innovators into a living ecosystem of shared learning.

In practice

What this looks like in practice

A teacher working closely with a small group of children

A primary school partners with us for three years to bring Inner Education into everyday school life — helping children develop attention, emotional awareness, self-understanding and healthier ways of relating to others.

We fund the program, train teachers and work with school leaders throughout the process. We also help the school evaluate what is working and adapt the approach to its needs.

By the third year, Inner Education is no longer a separate project. It has become part of how the school teaches and supports its students.
