How to choose a program

A five-question filter that narrows six programs down to the right one for your school.

There is no single best program. There is a best fit for your age band, culture, budget and teacher capacity. The five questions worth asking are: what problem are you actually solving; what is the age group; how many teachers can you free for training; what is the language of instruction; is this a pilot or a whole-school rollout.

Broadly, SEL programs like RULER and SEE Learning give teachers vocabulary and structure. Attention-first programs like MindUP and Inner Explorer are lighter to deploy. See the full programs overview for side-by-side traits.

Once you have a shortlist, check certification — some programs require certified specialists, others train regular teachers. This drives cost more than the license fee does.
